User Reviews of Pemco Insurance

Pemco no longer offers earthquake coverage.

Been with Pemco for over 4 years, never had a ticket or any type of claim with them. They always promised that after 3 years, I would get a deduction if I remain ticket/claim free. Well I lived up to my end of the deal, but sure enough at the 4 year mark they raised everyone's rates, so my 'discount' was not even enough to cover the rate increases. Plus today they send me a letter saying they aren't going to cover earthquakes in their policies anymore. They advise me, that they are recommending going with some company they must have ties too. Who are they? What's the cost? who know???

Dropped Homeowners Insurance

PEMCO agreed to repair my roof after the December 2006 storm and I just recieved notice of cancellation. They even stated the reason was because I made the claim for my roof. What a joke. And where's the help from my agent, John Gustafson?

Great, until you have an accident

I was pretty happy with Pemco until I had an accident last year. It was a minor fender-bender, and no one was hurt, but it was my fault. Pemco's response: they DOUBLED my premium. (Yes, doubled.) I paid the high premium for a year. And then, once they'd gotten some cash out of me? Despite having a perfectly clean record for that year, they decided I was uninsurable--too high a risk!--and dropped me. Pemco's great until you have an accident. Then... well, it sucks to be you.
